so i just got back from our trip up north for a week and a half. instead of really boring and detailed post i have compiled a list of awesome moments from the trip in a roughly chronological order.
-playing 13 a card game mike taught me
-climbing lotus peak when i was closed
-climbing huangshan while talking about black holes with an astronomer
-our random english circle outside the hotel on top of huangshan
-mike playing with his ufo toy for 2 hours at kfc
-hong cha
-bargaining for everything
-messing up our room reservation and actually getter a better room with really cool roomates
-trying to sell my umbrella to all the people trying to sell me watches, bags, dvds, etc on the streets
-not sleeping in shanghai
-8 yuan double sized tsing taos
-kings cup at the shanghai hostel
-jon and dillon dancing
-history of sex exhibit
-bob and ross in suzhou, two australian journalists who we had drinks with. they had stories for days and could imitate any english dialect you could imagine.
-ghetto moto trike to the train station
-owning mike at 13
-skating at tianamen square
-skating the streets of shanghai
-Gu Zhongguan exhibit at 798
-peking duck
-dumplings on every corner in beijing
-beijing opera
-drinks and bbq with random people on the street near the hostel
-my new wolf shirt
-learning british slang
-musical chairs at magpies
-oswald the partying mannequin
-signing autographs for all of the kids at the huangshan railway station
-chilling and watching family guy in suzhou
-seeing a 1000 year old pagoda that was leaning worse than piza
-attempting to sketch
-traveling instead of being in school
-everyone at the shanghai hostel

-tex mex that no longer existed (biggest let down of the trip)

all in all an amazing trip and as you can see we saw and did quite a lot in just a week and a half
and finally hours spent on a train during the last week and a half: 79
